Finding a doctor is easy. Finding the right doctor can be a chore. When you’re looking for a neurosurgeon to take care of your spine, it helps to have some way of sifting through the names to find the doctors who are at the very top of their field.
Every year the research company Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. makes this chore easier by publishing its Top Doctor guides. The Top Doctor guidebooks list the very best doctors nationwide and regionally, as well as the best doctors for cancer treatment.
To create these guides Castle Connolly goes directly to the nation’s doctors and asks them to nominate physicians who are the best in their fields. (Doctors cannot nominate themselves.)
Then their physician-led research team takes this list of nominees and vets them carefully, looking at each doctor’s education, board certifications, training, hospital appointments, disciplinary history and professional achievements, among many other factors.
The result is a list of doctors who exemplify the very best in both patient care and professional achievement.
We are proud to announce that it is also a list that includes neurosurgeons from The Spine Hospital at the Neurological Institute.
This year seven of our neurosurgeons are featured in Top Doctors: New York Metro Area. Four of those seven are featured in America’s Top Doctors, the prestigious listing of the best doctors across the United States.
