Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine: Surgical Treatment of Myxopapillary Ependymoma: an Institutional Case Series of 56 Patients

Dr. McCormick is senior author of one of the largest and longest retrospective single institution study of the long-term outcomes of patient with myxopapillary ependymoma (MPE) tumors of the filum terminale over a consecutive 23 year period (1999-2021). Fifty-six patients with MPE treated surgically at the Neurological Institute of New York were followed a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 27 years. Short and long term outcomes, including extent and type of tumor removal, recovery, complications and long term outcomes are assessed in detail.
