Dr. McCormick participated in a multi-institutional evidence-based Systematic Literature Review on the guidelines for the diagnosis and clinical management of cavernous malformations of the brain and spinal cord. Dr McCormick, who has substantial experience in the evaluation and management of patients with these rare malformations in the spine and spinal cord, and has numerous publications on this condition, was invited to participate with Angioma Alliance (www.angioma.org), a patient support group in the United States, as the only dedicated spinal neurosurgeon, to participate in this rigorous scientific project.
