New York Magazine’s annual ‘Best Doctors’ list is out, and once again, several doctors from Columbia Neurosurgery are on it.
The 2015 issue names 1,282 physicians in New York who are considered by their fellow doctors to be the best in their fields.
The extensive list of specialties includes neuroradiology and neurological surgery, the areas represented by the seven physicians from this department.
New York Magazine compiles this list every year based on a screening and peer-review format that was developed by healthcare research company Castle Connolly. The company produces the Top Doctors: New York Metro Area guidebook every year, which lists the physicians who are in the top 10% of the region.
Since space prohibits New York Magazine from publishing the entire Castle Connolly list found in the book (which is available for purchase on the Castle Connolly website), the company provides the publication with a shortened version.
